Known for being a magical place with dazzling features, Lotte World is Walt Disney World’s Korean counterpart. Opening in 1989, Lotte World became a place for family and friends to come together and have fun. With the park operating all year long, you will never miss out on the excitement!

Lotte World has outdoor and indoor sections with a wide variety of attractions and activities that allow guests to have a blast and enjoy the park, no matter the weather! So, what do you need to know before you go, and what can you expect when you get there?

  • Location and Admission

To indulge in the amusement, one needs to know how to get to the park! Lotte World’s address is 240 Olympic-ro, Songpa-gu, Seoul, South Korea. Since it is located in Seoul, one can use the train system to get to Jamsil Station (Line 2 Exit 4) which is located right next to Lotte World. If you are visiting Korea, Lotte World can be located quite easily since it is right next to Lotte Tower, Lotte Mart, and Lotte Duty-Free.

Once you have arrived, you just have to head through the main entrance and go to the ticket booth to pay. If you want to purchase a one-day park ticket, it will cost 54,000 won for an adult, 48,000 won for a youth, 45,000 won for a child, and 14,000 won for a baby. With this pass, you can enter Indoor Adventure, Magic Island, and some playing facilities. Now, there are other passes of various pricing with different offerings. After you have purchased your pass, you are free to explore and enjoy this remarkable land!

  • The Park

Lotte World consists of an indoor section (Indoor Adventure) and an outdoor section (Magic Island) along with a movie theater, shopping malls, a luxury hotel, sports facilities, and the Korean Folk Museum. Seeing as it has quite a few activities, it is impossible to explore them all in one day; however, this should not stop you from doing as much as you can!

If you plan to visit the Indoor Adventure part of the park, you should be aware that it is divided into four floors. As you can imagine, the first floor contains most of the rides that one can find in Indoor Adventure, but as you travel higher, you will find even more unique and exciting rides to try out! Now, if you want to explore Magic Island, the most thrilling rides are outside. There, you can find an famous rollercoaster fashioned after the lost city of Atlantis (Atlantis Adventure), and a new attraction with VR goggles (Gyro Drop).  

Aside from all of these rides and amenities, Lotte World also hosts a wide variety of festivals, shows, and parades that they hold throughout the year. For instance, you can enjoy the Rio Samba Festival which is held from June through August. In this culturally-clashing event, one can enjoy shows featuring professional samba dancers and parades that showcase bright colors and daring costumes that can be seen in the Rio Carnival. Moreover, Lotte World also has a Happy Halloween Party from September to October. In this event, you will be able to meet Lotty’s ghost friends and Halloween fairies who ensure you have a magical time during your visit. Lotte World also has a Happy Christmas Party from November to December. In this event, you will be able to enjoy beautiful shows with wonderful displays.
