Song Kang is back! With new K-Drama: Navillera

Hello Daebak Fam!

As we know, “Love Alarm’s” leading man Song Kang has returned to make our hearts “flutter like a butterfly” with his new role on “Navillera.” The series aired on March 22, 2021, as the Korean entertainment successfully brings another hit K-drama to their list. Navillera is a Netflix Original series from a Korean webtoon by web comic authors Hun and illustrator Ji-Min published July 26, 2016 via Daum Webtoon.

From the first episode the viewers meet Sim Deok-Chool (Park In-Hwan) who has the desire to occupy his time with something though he is doubtful because now he is a 70-year-old man. After retiring from his job as a postman, Sim Deok-Chool finds himself wondering if following his dream of becoming a ballet dancer is possible.  As expected, his wife and children do not support this idea as he is now a 70-year-old man thought his own doubts were not enough to stop himself this time around.

We also meet Lee Chae-Rok who seems to be a gifted dancer who is battling family issues not allowing him to fully focus on ballet. We learn that Chae-Rok’s mother passed and his father is on his way out of prison. The audition and the release of his father are happening on the same day and time, Chae-Rok decides to do what is best for his emotions.

Joining a ballet company he meets none other than Lee Chae-Rok who will be assigned to be his ballet teacher. As for Sim Deok-Chool, fate keeps leading him to ballet every corner he turns. With the hardships of pursuing a dream both Chea-Rok and Deok-Chool’s path align to bring us this beautiful story that reminds us that it's never too late to defy limitations and follow your dreams. Your real dreams!

Don’t miss “Navillera” on Netflix, tvN’s Monday & Tuesday 21:00  KST.
