7 Popular Kpop Idol Actors and Actresses in the Korean Entertainment Industry

Starting off the kpop idol actors list, we have one of South Korea and kpop’s most beloved handsome visual talent, Cha Eunwoo of Astro! He has been part of several popular romantic Kdramas including True Beauty, My ID is Gangnam Beauty, and Rookie Historian Goo Hae-ryung. Eunwoo actually made his first acting debut in 2015, then debuted in Astro in 2016!

Next, we have chart-topper soloist IU on our list of kpop idol actors! She made her acting debut in 2011, in the hit Kdrama, Dream High. Since then, on top of having many top hits in the music industry, she’s also made great strides in her acting career, starring in a total of 19 different televised projects within the last 11 years.

SF9's Rowoon has also made a big splash in his kpop idol actor career, with the most recent work of his being one of the most popular Kdramas of the year, Tomorrow. 

Many don’t know this kpop fun fact, but this SF9 member’s acting career actually started way back before he debuted as a kpop idol. His first acting project was in the TV mini-series, Click Your Heart, with fellow SF9 members Zuho, Chani, and Dawon.

Since then, the kpop idol actor has starred in popular K-dramas like Extraordinary You, Where Stars Land, and The King's Affection.

This Blackpink member is the latest kpop idol actor out of this bunch to have made her acting debut, but she definitely started out strong with one of the breakout K-dramas of last year, Snowdrop. Jisoo has appeared in cameos in other K-dramas such as Part-Time Idols and The Producers, but Snowdrop is her first lead role in a K-drama.

Many hardcore ARMYs may know this kpop fun fact already, but BTS’s V was also part of a popular, starstudded historical K-drama, Hwarang: The Poet Warrior Youth.

Being a part of the Hwarang cast lead him to meet some of his closest friends outside of BTS, also known as the Wooga Squad. This famous friend group includes other K-drama stars and Korean musicians: Park Seo-joon, Choi Woo-shik, Park Hyung-sik, and Peakboy.
