1. Cha Eunwoo
Starting off the list is one of South Korea and kpop’s most beloved visuals, Cha Eunwoo of ASTRO! He has starred in several popular romantic Kdramas including True Beauty, My ID is Gangnam Beauty, and Rookie Historian Goo Hae-ryung. Eunwoo made his acting debut in 2015, then debuted in ASTRO in 2016.
2. IU
Next is chart-topping soloist IU. She made her acting debut in 2011 in the hit Kdrama Dream High. Since then, on top of many music hits, she has starred in numerous televised projects. Some of her most notable works include Hotel Del Luna, Moon Lovers: Scarlet Heart Ryeo, and Broker.
3. SF9’s Rowoon
SF9’s Rowoon has made a big splash in his acting career. His acting actually started before his kpop debut, with his first project in the mini-series Click Your Heart alongside fellow SF9 members. Since then he has starred in popular Kdramas like Extraordinary You, Where Stars Land, The King’s Affection, and Tomorrow.
4. Red Velvet’s Joy
Red Velvet’s Joy is also a kpop idol actor who has starred in popular Kdramas including Tempted, The One and Only, and The Liar and His Lover, proving her versatility. In The Liar and His Lover she even showcases her sweet vocals.
5. GOT7’s Jinyoung
GOT7’s Jinyoung made his acting debut in Dream High 2. Since then he has appeared in many popular Kdramas, including The Legend of the Blue Sea, He Is Psychometric, When My Love Blooms, The Devil Judge, and his lead role in Yumi’s Cells.
6. BLACKPINK’s Jisoo
We can’t forget Jisoo! The BLACKPINK member made her acting debut strong with one of the breakout Kdramas, Snowdrop. She had earlier appeared in cameos in Part-Time Idols and The Producers, but Snowdrop was her first lead role.
7. BTS’s V
Many ARMYs already know this fun fact: BTS’s V was part of the star-studded historical Kdrama Hwarang: The Poet Warrior Youth. Being in the Hwarang cast led him to some of his closest friends outside BTS, the Wooga Squad, which includes Park Seo-joon, Choi Woo-shik, Park Hyung-sik, and Peakboy.
