Meet the SEVENTEEN Members and Know Their Latest Songs Here (2023)

Seventeen, one of the most popular acts in the kpop industry today, has been dominating the kpop scene since 2015.

Coming out of PLEDIS Entertainment, the 13-member boy group, which is now under HYBE Labels, has been gaining traction around the world with its top-tier tracks, synchronized choreographies, and unique vocals.  

Meet the SEVENTEEN Members

The thirteen-member group is made up of three units:

  • Hip-Hop Team: Group/Hip-Hop Team Leader S.Coups, Wonwoo, Mingyu, and Vernon

  • Performance Team: Performance Team Leader Hoshi, Jun, The8, and Dino

  • Vocal Team: Vocal Team Leader Woozi, Jeonghan, Joshua, DK, and Seungkwan

Not only do their subunits specialize in different areas, including vocals, dance, and rap, but the members also come from various backgrounds: Korean, Chinese, and Korean-American.

Performance team members Jun and The8 are from China, vocal team member Joshua and hip-hop team member Vernon hail from the U.S., and the nine other members were born and raised in Korea.

SEVENTEEN is both a humble and loving group, especially regarding their fans, otherwise known as “Carats.”

SEVENTEEN most recently released their repackage album “SECTOR 17,” with their title track “_WORLD.” The 13-member group also toured around the world this summer for their ‘Be The Sun’ world tour, where they made multiple stops in North America, Asia, and are heading to Japan this month.

Known for their impressive vocals and extremely synchronized dance moves, they have yet to disappoint their fans around the world. The group is preparing to release their first Japanese mini album, ‘DREAM,’ which is set to come out November 9th, 2022.

Many of the members are also starting to come out with solo projects, such as performance team leader Hoshi’s song “Spider” and vocal team leader Woozi’s track “Ruby.” Other performance team members have come out with songs as well, including The8 and Jun, who have released their songs “Side by Side” and “Limbo” in Korean and their native Chinese.

The group also has a subunit called ‘Booseoksoon,’ or ‘BSS,’ which consists of members; Boo Seungkwan, Lee Seokmin (DK), and Kwon Soonyoung (Hoshi), which is where they get their name. Their track “Just do it” was released in 2018, and fans are eager for them to make their comeback!

The group’s leaders, S.Coups, Hoshi, and Woozi, have also released unit songs, including “CHANGE UP” and “CHEERS,” which was released this past July.
