The Daebak Company is looking for talented, self-motivated, and ambitious interns to join the team in Gongdeok, Seoul, Korea. We are a Hallyu eCommerce start-up company with a seasonal subscription box based in Seoul. Our mission is to spread an appreciation for Korean culture all over the world. Over the past year, we’ve collaborated with top brands like CJ Cheiljedang, YOUUS, ETUDE, Esther Bunny, iStyle, Wiggle Wiggle, and MEDIHEAL.

We’re currently looking for onsite content marketing assistants and a creative graphic designer to be a part of our team. 


Who we are looking for:

Blog Interns | online, unpaid internship

Responsibilities

  • Researching and pitching topics and other blog ideas for our Daebak Magazine, like industry trends and other opportunities to attract new readers, boost engagement, and invite new customers.
  • Writing new content and repurposing published articles.
  • Promoting South Korean culture, entertainment, music, products, and company services.
  • Maximizing traffic by utilizing SEO keywords strategically in the content.
  • Developing and editing images for our blog platforms.
  • Uploading and managing blog files.
  • Supporting The Daebak Company's marketing team to write, edit, and develop ideas for projects.
  • Revising written content.
Requirements
  • Must have experience working with a team or willing to work with colleagues.
  • Must be keen on details and adhere to deadlines.
  • Must have a solid understanding of the needs and wants of the target audience and industry trends.
  • Must be willing to learn, follow instructions, and receive feedback.
  • Must have experience in editing images in Canva and other image editors.
  • Must have proficiency with computers, SEO keywords, writing platforms, and software, such as MS Office and Google Docs.
  • MUST be interested or willing to learn and research South Korean culture, entertainment, music, etc.

Content marketing assistant | onsite, unpaid internship

Responsibilities

  • Create content to be used for marketing campaigns
  • Develop, produce, shoot, and edit original and marketing photos designed for The Daebak Company's social media platforms 
  • Create copy for The Daebak Company’s social media that matches the brand
  • Manage all file storage, categorizing, and archiving for all projects
  • Keep up-to-date with changing trends on social media to better optimize The Daebak Company's social media, ads, and other creative needs
  • Support The Daebak Company marketing team and come up with new marketing campaign ideas
  • Research social media trends, ideas, and formats that will gather the attention of the target audience

Requirements

  • Able to commute to the office
  • Immediate recruitment (Winter internship)
  • Must have education/experience in social media or relevant
  • Must have experience working in a team
  • Experience in using the Creative Cloud (Adobe Photoshop, Premiere Pro, or Final Cut)
  • Interest in Korean culture and knowledge in Korean entertainment.
  • MUST have a visa that allows you to stay in Korea. The company does not provide a visa for this internship.

Graphic Designer | onsite, unpaid internship 

Responsibilities

  • Ability to create graphics (e.g., logos and icons), on/offline promotional materials, company items, mockups, brand guideline documents, and presentations
  • You identify what needs to be done on a creative level so that our team can book sufficient time to make your projects shine
  • You’ll translate creative concepts into thorough briefs
  • Openly communicate with the project manager and other team members 
  • Have great time management skills and adhere to deadlines
  • You make sure all work is conceptually in line with the campaign’s objectives and client expectations.

Requirements

  • Proficiency in using design tools such as Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator or Adobe Indesign.
  • Experienced in making yearbooks and magazines.
  • Able to commute to the office (will consider remote position too)
  • Immediate recruitment (Winter internship)
  • Must have experience working in a team
  • Interest in Korean culture and knowledge in Korean entertainment.
  • MUST have a visa that allows you to stay in Korea (for onsite interns). The company does not provide a visa for this internship.
