Customs, Taxes, and Duties for Shop items

Shipping Policy: Customs, Taxes, and Duties

1. International Shipping

We work with trusted suppliers based in South Korea who ship products directly to customers in various countries. Shipping availability, delivery times, and customs requirements may vary depending on the destination country, shipping carrier, and local regulations.

As our products are shipped internationally from South Korea, orders may be subject to customs inspections, import duties, taxes, and other fees imposed by the destination country.

2. Customs Duties, Import Taxes, and Additional Fees

Customers are responsible for understanding and complying with the customs regulations of their destination country.

Depending on the destination country and the applicable shipping and tax arrangements for an order, additional charges may include:

  • Import duties and customs tariffs

  • Value-added tax (VAT), goods and services tax (GST), or other applicable import taxes

  • Customs clearance, inspection, handling, or processing fees charged by customs authorities or shipping carriers

Unless explicitly stated at checkout that these charges are included in the order total or will be prepaid on the customer's behalf, any additional import charges assessed upon arrival are the customer's responsibility.

Even when shipping or taxes are collected at checkout, local authorities or shipping carriers may impose additional charges in certain circumstances.

We recommend checking with your local customs office or relevant authorities before placing an order if you are unsure about potential import charges.

3. Customs Clearance and Delivery Delays

International shipments may be subject to customs inspections or clearance procedures. These processes are managed by the relevant customs authorities and shipping carriers and may cause delays beyond our control.

We cannot guarantee that an order will clear customs within a specific timeframe. Customers may be contacted by their local customs office or shipping carrier to provide additional information, documentation, or payment before delivery can be completed.

Please monitor your tracking information and respond promptly to any requests from customs authorities or the shipping carrier.

4. Refused or Undeliverable Shipments

If a customer refuses delivery, fails to pay applicable customs charges, or does not complete the required customs clearance procedures, the shipment may be delayed, held, abandoned, or returned to the supplier.

If a shipment is returned to the supplier because of unpaid customs charges or the customer's refusal to accept delivery, any refund or reshipment request will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis.

Original shipping fees, return shipping costs, customs-related expenses, and other charges incurred may affect the amount eligible for a refund, where permitted by applicable law and our refund policy.

Please note that a refund is not guaranteed for shipments refused or abandoned due to unpaid import duties, taxes, or other charges for which the customer is responsible.

5. Customs Declarations and Documentation

Our suppliers prepare shipping documentation and customs declarations in accordance with applicable shipping procedures. Customs authorities may request additional documentation or information from the recipient to complete the clearance process.

Import requirements vary by country, and customs authorities retain the right to inspect, assess, delay, or refuse the entry of any shipment in accordance with local regulations.

6. Incorrect Customs Assessments or Unexpected Charges

If you believe that customs duties, import taxes, or processing fees have been incorrectly assessed, we recommend contacting your local customs authority or shipping carrier for clarification.

If you believe an additional charge relates to taxes or duties that were already collected at checkout or explicitly included in your order, please contact our customer support team with your order number and supporting documentation, such as the customs notice or payment receipt. We will review the information and coordinate with our supplier or shipping partner where appropriate.

Any adjustment or reimbursement will be subject to verification, the terms applicable to your order, and relevant laws and regulations.

7. Contact Us

If you have questions about international shipping, customs clearance, or additional charges related to your order, please contact our customer support team (hello@daebak.co) and include your order number and destination country.

We appreciate your understanding that international shipments are subject to the import regulations of the destination country and that certain customs procedures and charges are outside our direct control.
