Refund policy

Short version: you have 30 days to request a return, you can pause or cancel your subscription yourself at any time before the next renewal, and if something arrives broken we'll make it right. The details are below.

Returns

We have a 30-day return policy, which means you have 30 days after receiving your item to request a return.

To be eligible, your item must be in the same condition you received it: unworn or unused, with tags, and in its original packaging. You'll also need the receipt or proof of purchase.

Always contact us first at hello@daebak.co. Items sent back to us without first requesting a return can't be accepted.

If your return is accepted, we'll send you return shipping instructions, including where to send your package.

Return shipping costs are the customer's responsibility, unless the item arrived defective, damaged, or incorrect. In those cases we cover it.

Returning a box

Our boxes are curated surprises, so a box can only be returned if the entire box is unopened and every item inside remains unused, sealed, and in its original packaging.

Damages and issues

Please inspect your order when it arrives. If an item is defective or damaged, or you received the wrong item, contact us straight away so we can evaluate the issue and put it right. Photos help us resolve it faster.

What can't be returned

  • Beauty, skincare, and personal care products once opened or used (hygiene and safety)
  • Opened curated or mystery boxes
  • Perishable goods, such as food, snacks, flowers, or plants
  • Custom or personalized products, including special orders
  • Hazardous materials, flammable liquids, or gases
  • Sale items

Exchanges

The fastest way to get what you want is to return the item you have. Once the return is accepted, place a separate order for the new item.

Cancelling or pausing a subscription

You can pause or cancel at any time, yourself. There's no minimum commitment, no lock-in, no cancellation fee, and no need to email anyone and wait.

Log in to your Daebak account and open the subscription portal, where you can pause, resume, or cancel with a couple of clicks. Your order confirmation email also has a link that takes you straight there.

The one thing to know: cancel before your next renewal date. Once a renewal has already been charged, that box is on its way and the charge stands.

  • Pause: put your subscription on hold whenever you like, and pick it back up when you're ready.
  • Seasonal plan: cancel before your next season is charged and you won't be billed again.
  • Annual plan: your year is pre-paid, so you still receive all four boxes you paid for. Cancelling stops the renewal at the end of that year rather than refunding the boxes still to come.

If you'd rather we handle it, email hello@daebak.co with your order number. We reply within 1 to 2 business days from Seoul (KST), so if your renewal is close, cancelling through the portal yourself is the safer bet.

Brand products from the Shop

Individual brand products, meaning anything from our Shop that isn't one of our boxes (Daebak Box, Daebak Beauty Box, SnackFever, Collab Box), ship directly from the Korean brand that makes them, on their own shipping service.

Because of that, returns, exchanges, and refunds for those products are handled directly by that brand, and each one runs its own return and shipping process.

You don't have to hunt them down yourself. Contact us at hello@daebak.co and we'll connect you with the brand and pass along their instructions.

Refunds

We'll let you know once we've received and inspected your return, and whether the refund was approved.

If approved, you'll be refunded to your original payment method within 10 business days. Bear in mind your bank or credit card company may need a few extra days to process and post the refund.

If more than 15 business days have passed since we approved your return and you still haven't seen it, contact us at hello@daebak.co.

European Union: 14-day cooling-off period

Notwithstanding the above, if your merchandise is being shipped into the European Union, you have the right to cancel or return your order within 14 days, for any reason and without justification. As above, your item must be in the same condition you received it: unworn or unused, with tags, and in its original packaging. You'll also need the receipt or proof of purchase.
