Rookie group AB6IX kept their fan base on edge from the moment they debuted in May 2019 with the EP B:COMPLETE. As one of the most anticipated rookies of the year, it was no surprise that their first comeback felt long-awaited even by K-pop's lightning-fast standards.

A Comeback Three Months in the Making

AB6IX teased their album 6IXENSE in mid-September 2019, only three months after debut, and the rollout was relentless. Brand New Music opened with a blocky collage teaser that framed the members' features in close-up panels, then released individual concept photo sets for leader Lim Youngmin, main dancer Park Woojin, main vocal Jeon Woong, Kim Donghyun, and Lee Daehwi over the course of a fortnight. Even with that much to prepare, the group still made room to crossover with American singer-rapper Lizzo, hopping on a remix version of "Truth Hurts" that nobody saw coming.

Inside "Blind for Love"

The title track "Blind for Love" is a deep-house single that Lee Daehwi co-composed and co-wrote, with Lim Youngmin and Park Woojin handling the rap making. From the opening notes the captivating vocals are hard to shake. The instrumental matches each member's voice with surprising precision: Daehwi and Woong soothe through the first verse, Youngmin's deep rap snaps the song into focus, and a light techno bounce sways the listener into Donghyun's hook before Woojin's rap pulls the mood darker. The lyrics describe being so consumed by feeling that everything else fades: "These feelings I've never felt before / Captivate me and pull me to you / I'm a child who's grown blind with love."

A Music Video on Another Level

The MV pairs that production with set design that earns its own headlines. Dressed in all black or all white, the members move through a wide chamber of draped sheets, a geometric black-and-gold backdrop that looks like a stylized game of Tetris, and a flooded red room where water splashes with every movement. The scenes are bold enough to grab attention without ever drowning out the choreography, which Park Woojin created himself as a thank-you to fans. "I wanted to pay back fans for their support by personally creating something that showed AB6IX had been upgraded," he explained at the press showcase, while Daehwi remembered the team committing to the routine the second they saw it.

What 6IXENSE Says About the Group

Where B:COMPLETE introduced AB6IX as a unit, 6IXENSE was designed to define their sound. The album moves through deep house, hip-hop, future bass, moombahton, trap, R&B, and ballad without ever feeling scattered, partly because every member helped write or arrange the tracks. Lee Daehwi described "Blind for Love" as an extension of their debut single "Breathe," but with a trendier, more aggressive edge. Asked about dream collabs, Youngmin named Drake, Daehwi picked Anne-Marie, and Woong leaned toward Korean singer-songwriter Paul Kim. The throughline: a rookie group that already trusts its own taste.

Blinded in the Best Way

Combine the song, the visual world, and Woojin's choreography and "Blind for Love" tells you what love feels like without the hurt at the end. It is the rare comeback that delivers on rookie hype without losing its own taste. Whether you came in for the deep-house beat, Daehwi's pen, or just the chance to watch five vocalists and rappers click on a bigger stage, 6IXENSE gives you a reason to stay. Let us know in the comments how AB6IX blinded you with love.
