Food x K-Beauty Collaborations!

If you are both a foodie and a makeup enthusiast, South Korean makeup brands and food brands have been collaborating to satisfy both cravings at once. South Korea is best known for skincare and makeup, while Korean food and snack brands have been a long existing market. The culmination of food and K-beauty has created a frenzy, and here are two collaborations to help you with your foodie and K-beauty journey.

Samyang Ramen x TonyMoly

In case you have been living under a rock, Samyang is the creator of the Buldak Spicy Chicken Ramen that swept the nation with the Fire Noodle Challenge. This fiery Samyang x TonyMoly Hot Edition makeup collaboration consists of five products: a cushion, lip tint, lip care stick, blusher, and makeup puffs. Do not worry, these will not burn the way the real instant noodles do.

The Hot Edition Coverdak Cushion is a cushion compact foundation that comes in two shades: Nuclear Vanilla and Nuclear Beige. The cushion comes in an adorable ramen cup that is almost identical to the real Buldak Spicy Chicken Ramen, and inside you will find the cushion and a "sauce packet," which is a foundation refill.

The Hot Edition Lip Sauce Tint comes in two shades: Chicken Red and Cheese Chicken. As you can already guess, Chicken Red and Cheese Chicken are inspired by the original and cheese flavours of the noodles. The lip tints contain a glossy finish, and similar to the foundation, the lip tints are housed in a Samyang "sauce packet."

The Hot Edition Lip Care Stick comes in a packet shaped like a string cheese, often used to balance out the spice of the actual noodles. The stick is essentially just a lip balm. This will keep your lips moisturized and is perfect for a natural, no makeup day.

The Hot Edition Noodle Blusher comes in two shades: Deep Red, inspired by the original flavour, and Carbolighter, inspired by the carbonara flavour. Deep Red is exactly as the name suggests, and Carbolighter is a light pink dusting of blush just to give you a natural glow. Lastly, while the Hot Edition Makeup Puffs are not quite makeup, they are an adorable little addition to the series, and a must buy for avid fans to complete the collection.

KitKat x Etude House

This collaboration saw the creation of two KitKat inspired eyeshadow palettes, featuring "Original" and "Strawberry Tiramisu." The Original palette, with its red packaging, comes with a range of warm shades, finished off with a delicate caramel hue. The Strawberry Tiramisu palette, with its soft pink packaging, has cooler tones and more glittery, peachy shades.

These KitKat palettes even come with a little KitKat pouch. No matter which palette you get, both have an amazing colour story that allows you to create anything from a subtle, everyday look to a glam, date night look. "Have a break, wear this KitKat."
