I Like Mountain (Goyang)

One of my recent favorites has to be I Like Mountain in Goyang.
The first thing you'll notice is the view. Surrounded by lush greenery and overlooking the nearby mountains, the café feels like a peaceful retreat despite being less than an hour from central Seoul. Large windows fill the space with natural light, making it the perfect place to sit with a coffee and simply enjoy the scenery.
What I like most is that the café doesn't rely on flashy decorations or over-the-top desserts to stand out. The atmosphere is calm, the interior is warm and inviting, and the surrounding landscape does most of the work. If you're visiting during the warmer months, it's easy to lose track of time while watching the trees sway outside.
I'd also recommend trying one of their fresh fruit or vegetable drinks if you're looking for something a little different from the usual iced latte. It's a small detail, but it makes the experience feel even more refreshing.
Sanmotungi (Seoul)

Tucked away in Buam-dong, Sanmotungi feels like one of Seoul's best-kept secrets.
Perched on the hillside, the café offers sweeping views of the surrounding mountains and rooftops below. It's the kind of place where you can spend an afternoon with a book or simply enjoy the peaceful atmosphere away from the city's busier neighborhoods.
Movie and K-drama fans might even recognize it from several filming locations, adding another layer of charm to an already memorable visit.
Mukri459 (Yongin)

If architecture is just as important to you as coffee, Mukri459 is worth the trip.
Located at the foot of a mountain in Yongin, the café blends striking modern design with nature. Floor-to-ceiling windows frame the surrounding pine forest, while the sculptural interior makes it feel more like an art gallery than a coffee shop.
Rainy days are especially beautiful here, when the mist settles over the trees and the entire space feels incredibly peaceful.
Sogyeonggye (Paju)

Sogyeonggye sits quietly in the Paju countryside, with an enormous window overlooking rice fields and distant mountains. The minimalist interior allows the landscape to become the main attraction, creating a calm atmosphere that's perfect for slowing down.
If you're already exploring Paju's bookshops or art museums, this café makes a wonderful stop before heading back to Seoul.
KOTTON.SEOUL (Insadong)

Hidden among the traditional streets of Insadong, KOTTON.SEOUL combines modern coffee culture with a cozy, minimalist aesthetic.
