Bl Series 'The New Employee' Under Works With Producers Of Semantic Error

Love is truly in the air as the fall season slowly creeps its way!

Since its first release, The New Employee manhwa has received critical success in depicting the characters' love, work, and life realistically. In 2020, it was produced as a webtoon and won the Best Webtoon Award at the Ridi BL Comic Awards.

The New Employee is a BL drama, first serialized in 2016. The New Employee BL manhwa follows the story of a budding romance between the head of an advertising company and an intern. It's one of the Korean BL drama series to be adapted from its manwha and webtoon sources.

Choi Si-hun from Singles Inferno is reportedly cast to take part in the upcoming bl Korean drama, which is set to be produced and air on a South Korea exclusive streaming platform, Watcha.

The Korean cast was finally confirmed!

Along with Choi Si-hun, Graceful Friends star Kwon Hyuk and Moon Ji-Yong from Kiss Goblin are some of the new BL Kdrama series casts.

Kwon Hyuk stars as Kim JongChan, the workaholic head of an advertising company. Meanwhile, Woo SeungHyun plays the new intern, Woo SeungHyun.

Choi SiHun, from Single's Inferno, returns to the screen as SeungHyun’s first love, Na YooSeong.

The New Employee and Semantic Error on Watcha

The New Employee kdrama is produced by WATCHA, which also produced the popular BL web drama Semantic Error. The surge of Korean BL Drama has been steadfast and in no doubt will waver its success anytime soon.

If you have missed it, it is now available on Watcha! They released the BL kdrama on December 21, 2022.

Watcha's chief marketing officer Kim Hye-Jung recently spoke about the immense success of Semantic Error:

"We're extremely grateful because it is proof that what Watcha pursues and its values are being accepted and recognized," said Kim, before adding that Watcha's vision is "to make a variety of content where everyone's differences are accepted, and each individual's tastes are respected by others."
