Wonho Enlistment: 5 Solo Songs to Stream

Wonho dancing with right arm raised, two additional dancers in same pose

Hey Wenees! As you are likely aware, as of December 5th, Wonho has officially started his military service. This means he’ll also be taking a hiatus from making music. However, in the 2 years since his solo debut, he has put out a significant amount of amazing music. Let’s take a look at some of Wonho’s music!

Wonho Enlistment: When and Why?

If you are a new MONBEBE or Wenees, you might be confused about why Wonho has enlisted in the military. According to Korean law, all men are required to enlist to serve for 18 months in the Korean military before the age of 30. That is the same reason that Wonho's bandmate, Shownu, also enlisted earlier this year.

Additionally, there is nothing to be worried about safety-wise. Yes, he is enlisting in the military. However, he will complete his required time serving as a public service worker.

Wonho Solo Songs

#1 Don't Regret

Don't Regret is from his single album, Bittersweet. This song is quite emotional lyrically speaking. It looks back on a past love. It seems that his ex is struggling with the breakup. However, he is fine. Even though it didn’t work out, he still says, “I Don’t Regret it.”

The music video is actually quite interesting visually. It is initially just Wonho and his (ex)love interest. However, towards the middle of the video, it switches to an animated style for a short time before switching back to the original style.

#2 Don't Hesitate

The sound of this song is very electric and energetic. It sounds like something that would get you dancing in the club. However, lyrically it is urgent and almost begging. It feels very authentic. This feeling is reflected in the music video as well. While the music setting looks very expensive, at the dinner table, Wonho is the only one that shows his face, a reflection of his authenticity in this song.

#3 Eye On You

Eye on You is from Wonho's mini album, Obsession. This video has wild and dark visuals. This is emphasized by the repeated use of red and black. It's emotional in a way that is untamed and passionate.

#4 Crazy

Crazy is from Wonho's 2022 album Facade. This song is very groovy and has a great beat that makes you want to dance. The music videos are very choreography-focused. I didn’t realize it until I was watching this music video; however, Wonho usually has male dancers in his videos. In this music video, he had a significant number of female dancers, which definitely added to the movement of the choreography.

#5 Open Mind

Last but not least is Wonho's solo debut song, Open Mind from his album, Love Synonym #1. When he released this music video, it broke the internet and likely increased his fanbase. Lyrically it is quite suggestive and enticing to those listening.  While that atmosphere continues throughout the music video. The music video feels very classy and expensive. That is emphasized by the presence of cologne, a fancy car, and his outfits as well.

Don't worry, Wenees, Wonho's enlistment will be over before you know it. In the meantime, you can complete your album collection for your favorite artist. You can buy Wonho albums, his light stick, and even Monsta X albums from his time as "Monsta X Wonho."
