BTS J Hope: First South Korean Artist to Headline Lollapalooza

For those who missed it, Lollapalooza just announced its performers for its 2022 Festival. With a star-studded lineup, Kpop fans and attendees are rejoicing worldwide as it was announced that J-Hope of BTS and Tomorrow By Together (TXT) were on the list of performers! 

Lollapalooza is one of the biggest music festivals in the world, and J-Hope will be making history as the FIRST South Korean Artist to headline such a major music festival in the US! J-Hope will be headlining on the festival’s last day, July 31, 2022, Sunday, along with many notable names such as The Kid Laroi, Charli XCX, and Green Day. 

This breaking news of BTS J Hope’s solo appearance shocked ARMYs all over the world at first but now has garnered more support as BTS plans to focus more on the member’s solo careers, recently announced at their yearly FESTA broadcast. ARMYs are also looking forward to his solo album and Kpop merch, which BTS hinted to drop in July.

This major festival will also be the first time that the 4th generation Kpop sensation Tomorrow By Together, known more as TXT, will perform at a major US music event. Their performance will be on Saturday, a day before BTS J Hope’s solo debut and after the 8 tour stops in the US for their Act: Lovesick World Tour.
