Black Knight



Starting on a great note with this first mention! Black Knight takes place in the year 2071, when humanity has almost completely disappeared due to toxic air pollution, leaving only 1% of the world’s population remaining. The K drama follows the story of Knight 5-8 (Kim Woo-Bin), a legendary Knight whose role as a special delivery driver and protector has become essential in this post-apocalyptic era, and Sawol (Kang You-Seok), a refugee who wishes to walk in his footsteps and join the ranks. They end up meeting Seol-A (Esom), an officer in the Defense Intelligence Command who saved Sa-Wol’s life and took him under her wing as a part of her family. Black Knight is scheduled to be released on Netflix on May 12, 2023.

King The Land


Another one you might want to stay tuned for! This K drama starring famous 2PM Junho and Girls Generation YoonA tells the story of Goo Won, the heir of a luxury hotel conglomerate living under the pressure of an intense war for inheritance, and Cheon Sa-Rang, a hotelier working for the same group and whose smile always shines the brightest in the room. How could these two end up influencing each other's life while originally being so different? King The Land is scheduled to premiere on JTBC in June 2023.

A Time Called You


This adaptation of Someday or One Day, a popular Taiwanese drama, must definitely be one of today’s most anticipated romance K dramas. Starring Ahn Hyo-Seop, known for playing the lead role in Abyss and Business Proposal, and Jeon Yeo-Been, known for her role in the famous K drama Vincenzo, A Time Called You tells the story of Jun-Hee, a young woman whose boyfriend passed away one year prior to the current events and who’s able to go back to the year 1998, in the skin of 18-year-old Min-Ju. In her journey, she ends up crossing paths with Si-Heon, a young man who shares a shocking resemblance with her former boyfriend. A Time Called You is scheduled to be released on Netflix in the 3rd quarter of 2023.

Gyeongseong Creature


On its way to becoming one of the best K dramas of its kind, Gyeongseong Creature is surely one you don’t want to miss, especially if you’re as big of a Park Seo-Joon fan as we are! On his side, Han So-Hee, famous for her lead role in the 2021 K drama Nevertheless. Taking place in the old Seoul (known as Gyeongseong) in the year 1945, this drama tells the story of Jang Tae-Sang, an attractive wealthy man known for his keen insight and quick reaction ability, and Yoon Chae-Ok, a famous todugun whose life has been far from easy. After mastering how to use all kinds of weapons, she returns to Gyeongseong after spending most of her life traveling with her father between Manchuria and Shanghai, in view of finding her mother whose disappearance 10 years prior remains a mystery. She eventually becomes involved with Jang Tae-Sang with whom she starts solving a series of cases involving mystery disappearances. Gyeongseong Creature is scheduled to be released on Netflix in the 4th quarter of 2023.

Doona!


How exciting it is to see the beautiful and talented singer and actress Bae Suzy back onto our screens! In the role of Lee Doo-Na, she plays the most popular member of an idol girl group who suddenly just announced her retirement. After moving into a share house near a university, she ends up meeting Lee Woo-Joon (Yang Se-Jong), a kind and humble university student whose warm-hearted personality has the ability to soothe her heart and bring her comfort. Doona! is scheduled to be released on Netflix in the 4th quarter of 2023.

Daily Dose Of Sunshine


Based on Lee Ra-Ha’s popular webcomic “Jungshinbyungdongedo Achimeun Wayo”, this one definitely makes its way to our list of K dramas to watch at all costs, especially since it means having Strong Girl Bong-Soon’s lead actress back onto our screens. This time Park Bo-Young embodies Jung Da-Eun, a nurse from the internal medicine department who has just been transferred to neuropsychiatry where she finds it hard to adapt until Chief Nurse Song Hyo-Jin (Lee Jung-Eun) takes her under her wing. She eventually crosses paths with Dong Go-Yoon, a doctor in proctology who will soon recognize all the positivity she brings into his life through her bright personality. Daily Dose Of Sunshine is scheduled to release on Netflix in the 4th of 2023.

Sweet Home Season 2


Sweet Home Season 2 is the direct sequel to the first season. In case you need a reminder, Sweet Home Season 1 depicts the story of Cha Hyun-Su (Song Kang), a recluse high schooler whose entire family with whom he had only little interaction suddenly passed away in a car crash, leaving him all by himself. As if not enough, things started to go even downer when humans all around the world suddenly began to turn into atrocious monsters. Hyun Su and the other residents of his new apartment building are now fighting against the terrible creatures in order to survive. Sweet Home Season 2 is scheduled to be released on Netflix in the 4th quarter of 2023.

The Uncanny Counter 2 


The Uncanny Counter 2 is also the direct sequel of its first season. To remind you, “Counter” is a group of individuals, each having their very own special abilities, and whose purpose is to track down and eradicate evil spirits, while acting as simple employees of a noodle restaurant to cover for their true activities. The group is composed of So Mun (Joe Byeong-Gyu), Ga Mo-Tak (Yu Jun-Sang), Do Ha-Na (Kim Se-Jeong), Chu MAe-Ok (Yum Hye-Ran), and Choi Jang-Mool (Ahn Suk-Hwan). The Uncanny Counter 2 is scheduled to be released in the 2nd half of 2023.

D.P. Season 2


Just like with Sweet Home Season 2 and The Uncanny Counter 2, this K drama continues the story of its original first season which tells the story of the calm but tenacious Private An Jun-Ho (Jung Hae-In). Jun-Ho is transferred to the Deserter Pursuit team by Sergeant Park Beom-Gu (Kim Sung-Kyun) and they now work together as well as with Corporal Han Ho-Yeol (Koo Gyo-Hwan) in view of catching deserters. D.P. Season 2 is scheduled to be released on Netflix in the 2nd half of 2023.
