KCON 2022: Coming To Saudi Arabia For The First Time

KCON, one of Kpops largest global music festivals, is coming to Saudi Arabia for the first time on September 30th and October 1st for KCON 2022!

The KCON 2022 will be held at The Boulevard Riyadh City and feature artists including P1Harmony, THE BOYZ, Rain, SECRET NUMBER, Sunmi, and PENTAGON on Day 1, and ATEEZ, NewJeans, Hyolyn, ONEUS, STAYC, and TO1 for Day 2.

Not only is KCON one of the top places to meet other fans of your top groups, but it has helped spread the Hallyu wave around the world with Korean pop culture, music, and entertainment.

Get to know some of the Kpop idols that will be performing and hosting meet and greets at KCON Saudi Arabia 2022:

First in the KCON line up is ONEUS, a six-member boy group under RBW that debuted in January 2019 with their song Valkyrie off of their EP Light Us. They are under the same label as Mamamoo, Kara, and ONEWE.

The six-member group formed under FNC entertainment made their debut in October 2020 with their song Siren. In 2022 alone, the boy group released two mini albums, collaborated with American artist Pink Sweat$ on their song ‘Gotta Get Back,’ toured eight cities in the United States, and held a concert in Seoul for their domestic fans. The nine-member boy group, PENTAGON, debuted on October 10, 2016, with their song ‘gorilla.’ They recently released their fifth Japanese mini album titled ‘Feelin’ Like’ and most recently performed at the MIK Festival in London this past July. 

Since debuting in 2002 under JYP Entertainment with his first album ‘Bad Guy,’ Rain has become one of the most well-known people within the Kpop industry. From Hollywood movie star to MC to singer and dancer, there isn’t much that Rain can’t do.

The six-member girl group under Vine Entertainment made their debut as five in May 2020 with their single album ‘Who Dis?’ Since their debut, they have released four single albums, including their most recent album, ‘DOOMCHITA.’ They recently performed at the KV Fest, one of Indonesia’s most famous music festivals.

After her solo debut in 2014 under the ABYSS COMPANY, Sunmi became one of Korea's most successful solo artists, with her songs like 'Gashina' hitting number 1 on the Gaon Digital Chart and receiving nominations for multiple awards. She will wrap up her Good Girl Gone Mad World Tour in Seoul this upcoming October, after stopping in 15 cities across North America and Europe. 

The eleven-member boy group under IST Entertainment debuted in 2017 with their song ‘Boy.’ The Boyz also competed in the popular shows Road to Kingdom and Kingdom: Legendary War, where they placed first and second, respectively. 

As they continue gaining traction in the Kpop industry, they have hit many milestones since their debuts, such as being the first fourth-generation boy group to win every music show and best performance at the Golden Disc Awards.

KQ Entertainment’s most recent boy group ATEEZ made their debut in 2018 with their song ‘Pirate King,’ and have become a global sensation since their debut, having all of their releases chart on the Billboard 200 since their album ‘Zero: Fever Part.3.’ 

The eight-member boy group is set to embark on a world tour starting in late October in Seoul, with stops in the US, Canada, and Japan. 

HYOLYN, a former member of the girl group Sistar, made her solo debut in 2013 with her first album, Love & Hate. More recently, she competed on Queendom 2, ranked fourth, and also released her third mini album iCE this past summer.

Making their debut this past summer with their song ‘Attention,’ the five-member girl group, NewJeans, has been making waves in the Kpop industry, both domestically and internationally.

Formed under ADOR, a subsidiary of HYBE, the group has already performed at Yonsei University and Dankook University, showing their professionalism at such a young age. Discover all NewJeans members here!

STAYC under High Up Entertainment debuted with their song ‘SO BAD’ in 2020. Since then, the group has been nominated for several awards for their outstanding performances and vocals. They released their third single album ‘WE NEED LOVE’ this past July.

The nine-member boy group under Wake One Entertainment debuted in 2020 with their title track Magnolia. The group was formed from the survival show WORLD KLASS and was formerly known as TOO. In 2021, they changed their name to TO1. They most recently performed in Atlanta, Houston, New York, and other US cities for KCON 2022 in the USA.
