snacks featured in kdramas

Have you found yourself watching your favorite Korean drama and craving the food and snacks the characters eat? You certainly experienced salivating while the characters slurp on their ramen noodles and find comfort in the warm spicy broth. I feel you. The compelling visuals will make you want to try them out, mainly when featured on amazing shows you love.

Here are some of the Korean drama snacks that you might want to try:

Maxim Mocha Gold Mild Coffee

Maxim Mocha Gold Mild Coffee tastes smooth, creamy, and mildly sweet. It is the perfect way to get your caffeine fix anytime, anywhere! As one of the famous instant coffee brands in Korea, its convenient stick packets contain the perfect mix of sugar and milk powder (you can open it quickly and use it as a stirrer!) We see this coffee in popular Korean dramas like Vincenzo, Her Private Life, The Secret Life of My Secretary, Touch Your Heart, Hospital Playlist, and much more! Whether you're a Kdrama fan or just looking for a mild jolt of energy, this instant coffee has you covered.

Kopiko Candy

If you watched Hometown Cha Cha Cha, you might have caught on this Korean drama snack. Kopiko Candy is featured many times in the show, and there is even a scene when Ji Seong-Hyeon offers this coffee-flavored candy to Du-sik and says, "It really wakes you up in the morning." This candy appeared in other Kdramas like Vincenzo, Mine, Little Women, etc. Unlike other sweets, this candy comes in a rectangle-shaped blister pack. It's easy to open and keep whenever you have to travel or work and need some boosting.

Yakgwa (약과)

Another Korean drama snack that has been trending lately is called yakgwa or sometimes called “honey cookies” or “honey biscuits” by many. Yakgwa is a deliciously crispy-yet-chewy treat made by frying dough and soaking it with ginger-infused honey, giving it a flavor like a donut and a cookie combined. It is one of the many traditional Korean snacks known by many, and it appeared in the shows like Love in the Moonlight and Alchemy of Souls.

In the Alchemy of Souls series, Young Master Jang Uk fell in love with it. He was hesitant at first, but upon taking a bite, his eyes went wide in amazement, and he asked himself, "Were our honey biscuits always this sweet?" He even grabbed a handful of it and briskly walked away! You sneaky Jang Uk!

Orion Choco Pie

Others say food is life, but for Woo Seo Ri, choco pie is life! Another Korean drama snack we've seen featured is Orion Choco Pie in Thirty but Seventeen. So Ri went nuts when Gong Woo Jin denied seeing the choco pie she left on the bench but turned out to be sat on by him! He crushed it with his butt. Poor choco pie *cries*. The iconic line, "My…my choco pie..." was derived from here. If you wonder when this scene happened, it's in Episode 3. Thank me later!

Ritz Original Crackers and Lotte Dream Cacao

Ritz Original Crackers is a classic Korean drama snack you might have seen but have not noticed as much. It's a perfect choice for a simple snack when you're in a hurry. This beloved cracker has been a favorite since 1935 with its rich buttery flavor. Famous Korean actresses like Han So-hee (Nevertheless) and Go Yoon-Jung (Alchemy of Souls 2) appeared in commercials for this. It's also a favorite by Hospital Playlist's gruff and grumpy foodie doctor, Kim Jun-wan!

Aside from the crackers, another Kdrama snack that Kim Jun-wan also loves is the Lotte Dream Cacao. He has a stack of these in his office, which everyone kept stealing! This chocolate also played a big part during his adorable confession scene with Ik Sun. Want to know what happened? *squeals* Watch the show! You will never regret it.

Samyang Jjajaroni

Samyang Jjajaroni is a Korean instant black bean sauce ramen. This snack is tasty and one of a kind, even the favorite midnight snack of BTS V and his other members in the variety show Jinny's Kitchen. If you tuned in, that's the one he eats with gusto at night or even during different times of the day, making the big boss Lee Seo-Jin smile widely! It shows how big an eater BTS V is.

Since we're talking about the show Jinny's Kitchen, you might have craved the original ramen and hellamyeon presented on their menu. No worries, you can have both Korean drama snacks with the Samyang Ramen Set. It includes one pack of Samyang Original Ramen and one pack of Samyang Buldak Stir-Friend Noodles.

No need to crave. If you want a complete experience, you can get delicious snacks from your favorite Korean dramas, movies, and reality shows with the KDrama Snack Pack. This snack pack includes seven iconic goodies which offer a unique and delicious way to experience the shows you love!
