‘Boys Planet’ is the highly anticipated upcoming Mnet survival show that will air on February 2, 2023. It is the male version of ‘Girls Planet 999’, which is the show that formed KEP1ER. Mnet survival shows are always a hit, as evidenced by how their shows have formed groups with the fastest music show wins. In ‘Boys Planet,’ 98 boys worldwide will compete to create a global project group. Are you interested in knowing all the Boys Planet 999 profile and creating your own debut group?

To help you choose your picks, clicking a contestant shows you their profile. The Boys Planet profile includes their current or past groups, survival shows they competed in, and other fun facts about the contestants.

There are many familiar faces among the contestants, including contestants who have already debuted before including Hui from PENTAGON, Lee Hwanhee and Lee Dongyeol from UP10TION, Keita from CIIPHER, and Krystian from NOW UNITED.  

A lot of the contestants have also competed in survival shows before, including Jay from ‘Under Nineteen,’ Anthonny from ‘Produce 101 Japan’, Chen Yu Geng from ‘Youth With You,’ Lee Seunghwan from ‘Under Nineteen’ and ‘LOUD,’ and Park Gunwook from ‘Wild Idol.’ 

We have also seen some contestants in movies and dramas, such as Kim Jiwoong from ‘Kissable Lips’ and Mun Jung Hyun from ‘Boy Meets a Stranger.’

Instead of having one MC throughout the show, ‘Boys Planet’ will have ‘Star Masters’ who will be different for each mission. ‘Star Masters’ are senior artists who will guide the contestants and act as a role models for them. 

Hwang Minhyun has been introduced as the ‘Star Master’ for the first mission. He is currently a soloist and actor. He is a former member of NU’EST and WANNA ONE. The confirmed ‘Boys Planet’ mentors are Baek Kooyoung and Choi Youngjoon from ‘Street Man Fighter,’ Lip J from ‘Street Woman Fighter,’ Vocal director Lim Hanbyeol, Solji from EXID, and hip hop artist pH-1. 

Mnet has already released a lot of content to help us get to know the trainees before the show. They have released their signal song ‘Here I Am’ with individual fancams. They have also released contestant information, shiny boys teaser posters, PR videos, alcohol-free bar challenge videos, eye contact challenge videos, and TMI interview videos. Fans also got to meet and have fun with the contestants in the in-person fan meeting ‘Charm Festival.’
