rom&nd (롬앤) is the Korean makeup brand behind the Juicy Lasting Tint, the glossy lip tint that became a best-seller in Japan and helped push Korean lip-product exports to a record in 2023. Its tints come in five finishes: syrupy gloss (Juicy Lasting), watery glass (Glasting Water, Dewyful Water), blurred matte (Blur Fudge), velvet matte (Zero Velvet) and a true matte lipstick (Zero Matte). Start with Juicy Lasting Tint; choose Blur Fudge if you prefer matte.

Every K-beauty lip conversation ends up at rom&nd, and then stalls on the names. Juicy, Glasting, Dewyful, Fudge, Zero: which is which, and which one are people actually wearing? This guide sorts the range by finish, explains how Koreans apply tints, and points you to a first one.

At Daebak, a Seoul-based Korean culture and product company, product descriptions come from rom&nd's product pages and the market facts from the sources listed at the end. rom&nd products in our shop are shipped by the brand. Why rom&nd matters

Lip color is the category where Korean makeup went global first. Maeil Business Newspaper, citing the Korea Customs Service, reported that Korean lip cosmetic exports in the first seven months of 2023 rose 63.5 percent to a record $198 million, with the United States the largest market at 42.2 percent and Japan second at 15.1 percent; the Korea JoongAng Daily carried the same record figure. The Maeil report singles out rom&nd, whose Juicy Lasting Tint is a fixture of Japanese beauty rankings, and gives the brand's 2022 sales as 85.3 billion won with exports more than 60 percent of the total and Japanese sales up 73 percent in the second quarter of 2023. The trend has not slowed: the Korea JoongAng Daily reported in May 2026 that Korea's total cosmetics exports reached a record $11.4 billion in 2025, second only to France, with color cosmetics accounting for $1.5 billion of it. The brand also appears in our Most Popular Korean Makeup Products list.

The finishes

Product Finish, per the brand Feel Pick it if
The Juicy Lasting Tint (also 5.5 g) Glossy, syrupy, "juicy" color that leaves a stain as the shine fades Light, slightly tacky gloss You want the famous one; you like shine
Glasting Water Tint Watery texture, vivid color, glass-like finish; separate color and shine layers Thin, non-sticky You find Juicy too thick
Dewyful Water Tint Clear, glossy, natural-looking stain; 13 shades for warm and cool tones Watery, sheer to buildable You want a subtle everyday tint
Blur Fudge Tint Matte, soft blurred finish, buildable from sheer to full Creamy, not drying per the brand You prefer matte but want comfort
Zero Velvet Tint Velvety matte, mousse-like, airbrushed look Feather-light You want the flattest, longest-wearing matte
Zero Matte Lipstick Weightless matte bullet lipstick, 20 shades Classic lipstick You want a lipstick, not a tint
Glasting Melting Balm Glossy tinted balm, nine wearable shades Balm You want color without commitment
Glasting Color Gloss High-shine sheer gloss Gloss You layer it over a tint

The brand's "Zero" products are its matte family and the "Glasting" products its glass-shine family; "Juicy" and "Dewyful" sit between, glossy but with a stain underneath.

How Koreans wear a tint

  1. Gradient first. The brand's own directions for the Juicy Lasting Tint say to dab onto the center of the lips for a softer gradient, then press the lips together. This is the "just-bitten" gradient look most associated with Korean tints.
  2. Full lip second. Apply from the center outward with the applicator and blend to the edges for a solid lip. The Lip Mate Pencil is the brand's liner with a built-in blending brush if you want a crisp edge.
  3. Blot or layer. A glossy tint blotted once leaves the stain; a matte tint layered twice goes from sheer to opaque.
  4. Balm underneath for matte. Koreans prep with a plain balm, let it sink in, then apply a matte tint; the brand's Glasting Melting Balm does double duty as a tinted version.

Which to buy first

  • If you want the one everyone has: The Juicy Lasting Tint. Fruit-inspired shades, a glossy finish and a stain that stays after the shine goes.
  • If you want matte: Blur Fudge Tint, which the brand positions as comfortable for all-day wear, then Zero Velvet if you want it flatter.
  • If you want sheer and watery: Dewyful Water Tint, with the widest shade range for warm and cool undertones.
  • If you want a lipstick: Zero Matte Lipstick, 20 shades, which the brand formulates with isoamyl laurate to keep lips comfortable.

Choosing a shade

rom&nd names shades after fruit and food (Bare Fig, Papaya Jam, Peony Ballet), which is charming and not very helpful. What the product pages do tell you: the Dewyful Water Tint's 13 shades are labelled for warm and cool skin tones; the Zero Velvet shades are named plainly (Grain Nude, Vintage Taupe, Fade Red, Nerd Pink); and the Milk Grocery and Dusty On The Nude series are the softer, more muted options. If you can, pick a tint one step bolder than your lipstick habit; tints wear sheerer than the tube suggests.

What is the difference between Juicy Lasting and Glasting Water Tint?

Juicy Lasting is a syrupy gloss that leaves a stain as it fades; Glasting Water is thinner and watery with a glass-like shine and separate color and shine layers. Juicy is the thicker, Glasting the lighter.
