A Sweet Taste of Wonderland: Dear Me Cafe
Dear Me Cafe is a cute and quaint little bakeshop that first opened in 2016, and is located in Mangwon-dong, Mapo-gu, Seoul. This cafe is very famous for its cakes and charming interior, making it feel like a home and not a business. Dear Me Cafe is only open Thursdays to Saturdays from 1:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m.; and on Sundays from 1:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. The hours may differ from other cafes; however, they do not lack business! When they open at 1:00 p.m., their cafe is packed within the first ten minutes! Let’s look at some of the delicious treats Dear Me Cafe has to offer!
Dear Me Cafe is known for its raspberry cheese mousse cake! It has a white cheese mousse base, a raspberry in the middle, raspberry mousse top layer, and then garnished with another raspberry!
They also have a lovely dark cherry mousse cake, which is in the shape of a cherry!
It has dark chocolate mousse on the inside with some cherry preserve, it’s almost too cute to eat!
And who could resist a peach cream mousse cake with real peach pieces?
Dear Me Cafe has a slight Alice in Wonderland theme with some decor referencing the book, and they have some items on their menu that are based off of the story as well!
Some of drinks come with a cute little tag that says “Drink Me” in reference to Alice in Wonderland.
And you can get some biscuits that say “Eat Me” written in them!
Dear Me Cafe has other treats they offer such as madeleines, fruit tarts, peach crumble, chocolate cake, coffee, teas, and fruity drinks!
This sweet homey-feeling cafe is perfect for people who like simple and quiet places, sweets, or Alice in Wonderland. Everything is made daily and new things are constantly being added to the menu, which is updated on their Instagram! Give Dear Me Cafe a visit next time you’re in Seoul!
