BTS Explodes Worldwide with Their New Single “Dynamite” - The Daebak Company

While 2020 has been a year of uncertain times, such as dealing with the COVID-19 Pandemic, Jin of BTS, in BTS (방탄소년단) 7-Second Interviews on BANGTANTV, stated: “Things are kind of, how should I say, are cold and grim these days. So let’s heat things up with Dynamite”. BTS has stated many times how much they miss ARMY through their V-LIVE videos, RUN BTS videos, and YouTube Live streams.

BTS Lights it Up Like Dynamite:

August 04, 2020: Big Hit Labels released an image of the “Dynamite” promotion schedule. From concept photos to the release of the music video, this promotion schedule from Big Hit made ARMYs excited for the newly released song. In 2020, BTS also released their Map of the Soul: 7 album and Map of the Soul: 7 - The Journey Japanese album. AGUST D released his D-2 mixtape, while Jungkook released his first solo song, “Still With You” and sang a cover song of “10,000 Hours” by Dan + Shay (feat. Justin Bieber). With many music content releases in 2020, BTS surprised ARMY with their new single, "Dynamite"!

August 18, 2020: Big Hit Labels released the “Dynamite” music video teaser. This teaser had ARMYs blasting out tweets over the member’s new concept, outfits, muffled song lyrics, and Michael Jackson's famous kick at the end of the teaser. ARMYs were speculating a 70’s funk-inspired track. Some ARMYs believed that BTS created an OST for the upcoming Space Jam 2 movie featuring Lebron James; Mainly because SUGA wore a Tunes Squad jersey in the concept photos. ARMYs also found that Looney Tunes Twitter account had been mentioning and reacting to BTS' tweets. AND Looney Tunes released a song called "Dynamite" by Daffy Duck featuring Bugs Bunny in the 1990's! Was this a coincidence? Other ARMYs believed that the song would be in English. And well...as always, ARMYs were great detectives and were on point!

August 21, 2020: The “Dynamite” music video released, after the BTS members did a live countdown with ARMYs on YouTube. “Dynamite” is a 70’s funk-inspired track that has a modern touch to it. It is catchy, it is upbeat, and it is all in ENGLISH. That is right everyone! BTS came out with a full English lyric song! This song sounds positive and will definitely make anyone smile! The pastel colors, the modern 70’s outfits, the CGI backdrops, and famous dance moves in their choreography were embraced by ARMYs. We can also see a record shop and room filled with some of the greatest hits and artists of the 1960s-1990s. While it may take ARMYs 20 times to watch the video to see everything that happened in each scene and parts of the choreography, this music video is by far their most colorful and upbeat song to date. “Dynamite” is the positive song we needed in 2020 and it did not disappoint!

While ARMYs were planning to create a new record for streaming the song on YouTube within its first 24 hour period, the goal was to reach 100 million views. A few days later, YouTube confirmed that BTS’ “Dynamite” music video held the new record for the most viewed video in 24-hours with 101.1 million views. The confirmed video prior to the “Dynamite” record was BLACKPINK’s “How You Like That” music video; Which had 86.3 million views. “Dynamite” even hit Spotify’s “Global Top 50” chart! Currently to date, ”Dynamite” has 206.5 million views on YouTube and is being recognized by ARMYs, artists, new fans, and even top named brands on social media platforms.

Everyone knows how BTS and ARMYs connect and have a strong bond. To have the “cold and grim days” of 2020 become a brighter and more positive year, BTS released a B-side music video for ARMYs that show bloopers of the members making the music video, and show BTS’ individual personalities and bond as a team. ARMYs even found the Makane Line referencing moves from comedian No Hang-chul, who ended up reposting ARMYs posts on his Instagram Story! BTS also created a TikTok dance challenge that anyone can participate in with family and friends! Big Hit Labels are currently releasing every member’s selfie “Sing ‘Dynamite’ with Me” videos; So far, RM, Jimin, Jin, and V have their videos posted. Lastly, BTS shared their reactions and thoughts on their new music video on V-LIVE. A lot of content has been produced for this new single and ARMYs appreciate every bit of it!

The Explosion of Dynamite:

BTS’ new English single has exploded worldwide and has already broken records. Thanks to ARMYs from all over the world, BTS has reached success with their new song. Thanks to BTS, we all have an upbeat song that can motivate us, inspire us, and give us the positive energy we need to get through the rest of 2020. But this is not the end of it.

BTS has changed their social media profile pictures and headers - which is speculating a new era of music. BTS is rumored to make a comeback with a new studio album, created and produced by all members of BTS, in late August or September. If “Dynamite” already blew ARMYs socks off, what will happen when BTS, out of their seven-year career, comes out with their first self-produced album?

Tune in for updates on BTS’ full comeback on their social media accounts. Keep streaming “Dynamite”, keep supporting the members, and get ready for a new era of music! ARMYs, let's get it!
