Elizabeth: Daebak Global Intern Signing Off!

And just like that, it’s over. These last few months interning for The Daebak Company have truly been a blast and I’m so glad to have been able to share this experience with you, Daebak-fam! If you’re curious about what the job entails or are simply interested in learning more about my time here, keep on reading!

As you can likely tell from the articles I’ve written during my internship, I really enjoy Korean media and culture. I love listening to K-Pop and keeping up with new K-Drama releases and I am also genuinely interested in Korean lifestyle and traditions. It’s for these reasons that I chose to apply to and join The Daebak Company - which aims to share Korea with the world.

It was a bit unfortunate to be limited to online contact and gatherings, but with the world as it currently is, this couldn’t be helped anyway. However, thanks to the efforts of The Daebak Company team, I still truly felt involved and productive. In particular, I really enjoyed making videos for the company's social media accounts and having the opportunity to partake in content creation. I also had fun writing articles for Daebak Magazine; As they provided me with an opportunity to find new songs or share K-Dramas I enjoyed watching. 

Overall, I think I’ve grown a lot from my time here at The Daebak Company. I’ve learned more about working within a team and for an actual company. I’ve gained experience making content to represent a brand and I’ve generally improved my life skills (e.g. communication, time management, etc). Of course, I also further strengthened my love and appreciation for South Korea!

There are already a lot of benefits that come with participating in an internship, but with The Daebak Company, there’s a lot more you can expect! Interning here means having the opportunity to work with a phenomenal and passionate team unlike any other. It also means having the opportunity to get a hands-on experience that other companies can’t guarantee. My favorite perk, though, would have to be receiving actual Daebak Company products to review and create social media content for! Being able to see and feel the items really helps to further inspire content creation, understand the brand, and develop personal investment in the work itself.

My time with The Daebak Company has been truly memorable, and I will carry the lessons learned and experiences gained with me through all my future endeavors. Though this is the end of my internship, I hope that, in the future, I will be able to work with them again. Thank you, all, for such a wonderful time!
