Earlier this year, Netflix came out with a new K-variety show called Single’s Inferno. The show consisted of 12 attractive singles who came to the island to explore relationships with one another in hopes of escaping from the single’s inferno and entering into heaven. Curious to know where they are now?

The first contestants to arrive on the inferno were Song Ji A, Kim Hyeon Joong, An Yea Won, Choi Si Hun, Kang So Yeon, Moon Se Hoon, Oh Jin Taek, Shin Ji Yeon, and Kim Jun Sik. Later on in the week, three more singles joined the group: Seong Min Ji, Kim Su Min, and Cha Hyun Seung. None of the identities of the contestants were revealed. The only way both the contestants and the audience members could get more information about the singles were if they coupled-up and escaped to “heaven”. 

We’ll spare you the time of watching all eight episodes and give you a little biography of each single.

The Female Contestants

To start off we have Shin Ji Yeon. She’s a 24-year-old neuroscience student at the University of Toronto. Next, there is Song Ji A who is a 25-year-old social media influencer and beauty content creator. Her YouTube channel is FreeZia where she posts beauty tip videos and other vlogs following her life. An Yea Won is a 27-year-old fitness and pilates trainer from Busan. Another contestant is Kang So Yeon. She is 34 years old and it seems as if she has dipped her toes into a bit of everything. Currently, she runs a boxing gym called HitFit and has her own YouTube channel where she vlogs fitness videos and her trying out different sports. In a past life, she was even a K-pop idol for a co-ed group known as WE. Although they came onto the inferno island a little later, we can’t forget Seong Min Ji and Kim Su Min. Both Seong Min Ji and Kim Su Min are 24 years old. Min Ji works as a freelance model for various brands while Su Min is starting off her modeling and acting career. 

The Male Contestants

We can’t forget about the male contestants! Moon Se Hoon is a 27-year-old restaunteer and owns a restaurant in Gangnam called Onlygo which serves a fusion of Western and Korean food. Another business owner on the show is Oh Jin Taek. He is the CEO of a tailor shop known as Ascottage which works in the men's fashion industry. Similarly, Choi Si Hun is also 30 years old and in addition to his light acting and modeling career, he serves as the creative director for a Seoul-based fashion company called Hoten. Kim Jun Sik is 28 years old and is also the CEO of his own health startup known as KAMEE which sells nutritious supplements such as ginseng products. Another single on the show is Kim Hyeon Joon who is 28 years old and models on and off; he is also a personal trainer. Cha Hyun Seung was also one of the few singles who arrived later on the island. He is 31 years old and has been a back-up dancer for multiple K-pop acts including Sunmi, Stray Kids, and EXO.

The Results!

Now that we know a little bit about each of the singles, let’s dive into who ends up with who. Spoiler alert!! One of the most stable couples to come out of the show was Kim Jun Sik and An Yea Won. Since the beginning of the show, Moon Se Hoon only had eyes for Shin Ji Yeon and his loyalty proved fruitful because the two ended up leaving the island together in the end. Another couple that seemed pretty stable throughout the duration of the show is Oh Jin Taek and Kang So Yeon. Although their relationship had many challenges, Song Ji A chose Kim Hyeon Joong in the end. 

Unfortunately not everyone ended up leaving inferno with a partner. Seong Min Ji, Kim Su Min, Choi Si Hun  and Cha Hyun Seung were left without partners by the end of the show. 

The Other Contestants

So where is the cast of Single’s Inferno now and what are they up to? As disappointing as it might be, it seems as though none of the relationships formed on the island have continued into real life. However, a lot of the contestants still remain friends. For instance, Cha Hyun Seung has been featured in YouTube videos for both An Yea Won and Kang So Yeon. Many of the contestants seem to have created their own YouTube channels to keep fans updated on their lives and even feature fellow cast members in some of the videos.
