The brand in brief
Amorepacific said in a December 2014 release that LANEIGE launched its Water Sleeping Mask in 2002 and sold more than 3.6 million packs in 2013, figures that are company-reported. The brand entered the US in 2014; Glossy reported in 2020 that it sold only at Target for its first two years, opened in 147 Sephora stores in 2017 and reached full Sephora distribution in September 2019. In that report the brand described itself as the top-selling K-beauty brand at Sephora, and a company executive said one Lip Sleeping Mask sells every minute in the US (both company statements).
Maeil Business Newspaper reported in January 2026, citing industry sources, that LANEIGE sales reached about 730 billion won in 2025 and were projected at about 800 billion won in 2026, with nearly 90 percent coming from overseas. Asia Business Daily, covering a 2024 launch, said the brand's best sellers are the Water Sleeping Mask and the Cica Sleeping Mask.

Which product first
- Water Sleeping Mask EX. A lightweight gel sleeping mask designed to replenish moisture overnight. The brand says to apply an even layer after face cream and leave it on overnight; our guide to how sleeping masks work explains the steps and how often.
- A hydrating toner or serum. The Water Bank Blue Hyaluronic Essence Toner comes in a version for normal to dry skin and one for combination to oily skin.
