Hello everyone! My name is Karena, and I’m from the Bay Area in the U.S. I am currently a student at UC Berkeley studying Economics and Data Science. 

My friends introduced me to K-Pop when the COVID lockdown began, and I quickly fell in love with the music and culture. Falling in love with groups such as Mamamoo and Dreamcatcher, I was quickly introduced to a wide array of unique groups and variety shows that kept me coming back for more.

I’ve been interested in Korean culture since I was young, and I was first drawn in by K-Dramas. I found them generally to be well-written, reasonably-paced, concise, creative, and incredibly well-acted, and I couldn’t help but fall in love with both the genre and the culture they depicted.
